Luke 19:29-40 "²⁹ And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, ³⁰ Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. ³¹ And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.  ³² And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. ³³ And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? ³⁴ And they said, The Lord hath need of him. ³⁵ And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. ³⁶ And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way. ³⁷ And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; ³⁸ Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. ³⁹ And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. ⁴⁰ And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out."

Luke 11:37-53 "³⁷ And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat. ³⁸ And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner. ³⁹ And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. ⁴⁰ Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also? ⁴¹ But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you. ⁴² But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. ⁴³ Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets. ⁴⁴ Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. ⁴⁵ Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also. ⁴⁶ And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers. ⁴⁷ Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. ⁴⁸ Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres. ⁴⁹ Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: ⁵⁰ That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; ⁵¹ From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation. ⁵² Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. ⁵³ And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things"

Psalm 118 "1 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.  ² Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.  ³ Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.  ⁴ Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.  ⁵ I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.  ⁶ The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?  ⁷ The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.  ⁸ It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.  ⁹ It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.  ¹⁰ All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them. ¹¹ They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.  ¹² They compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.  ¹³ Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.  ¹⁴ The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.  ¹⁵ The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.  ¹⁶ The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.  ¹⁷ I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.  ¹⁸ The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.  ¹⁹ Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:  ²⁰ This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.  ²¹ I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.  ²² The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.  ²³ This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.  ²⁴ This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.  ²⁵ Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.  ²⁶ Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.  ²⁷ God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.  ²⁸ Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.  ²⁹ O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." Mark 12:1-12 "1 And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.  ² And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.  ³ And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.  ⁴ And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.  ⁵ And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.  ⁶ Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.  ⁷ But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.'  ⁸ And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.  ⁹ What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.  ¹⁰ And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: ¹¹ This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?  ¹² And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way."
